TYPICAL PROJECTS

·         Brown Stock Washer Line Upgrade – Managed design, construction and startup of 1300 TPD brown stock washer line.

·         Pulp Mill Refining – Scoped and managed many process improvement upgrades including piping, valves, and VFD’s.  Completed Six Sigma project on refining optimization

·         Pulp Mill MCC Room – Assisted in scope, design and equipment specifications. Managed construction and startup of 5KV to 480V VFD’s and starters for synchronous and non-synchronous motors

·         Lime and Causticising improvements –Led study for optimizing fuel usage on Lime Kiln.  Managed installation and startup of on-line causticising analyzer

·         NCG Systems– Managed installation of HVLC and LVHC systems Millwide

·         Wood Yield and Chip screening – Managed scope, design, installation and startup of chip screening upgrade including the addition of a chip cracker.

·         Soda Loss and Process Sewers – Presented information on all piping and sewers associated with liquor loss throughout the mill.  Determined sources of failures, managed inspections and repairs of underground piping.

·         Digester Upgrades and Inspection – Managed batch digester overlay work and inspections. Managed major capital work and inspections on continuous (Kamyr) digester.

·         Tank and Pressure Vessel Integrity – Developed, managed, and maintained inspection program for 13 years.

·         Major Tank Repairs- Managed scope, estimate, construction and startup of all size tanks and various materials.

·         Manage Capital Projects from submittal, engineering, construction and startup.

·         Investigate, evaluate and recommend solutions for problems with existing systems and processes.

·         Managed Total Installed Cost (TIC) projects from $25K to $9.2MM

·         Tank Integrity Coordinator, Responsible for Mill-Wide Tank and Pressure Vessel Integrity

·         Directional Drilling – Scoped and managed installation of 1500 ft of 6” HDPE Pipe to supply mill water outside the entrance gate.

·         Dust Collection System – Managed design, construction and startup of Lime Silo Fugitive Dust Collection System

·         Lime Collection Conveyors – Managed design, construction and startup of fresh lime and reburned lime slaker feed screw conveyors and railcar unloading screw conveyor

·         Major Tank Repairs and Replacements – Scoped, estimated and managed construction and startup of Weak Black Liquor Tank, 50% Liquor Tank, Soap Rake Tank, White Liquor Clarifier, Kraft Hot Water Tank, & Kamyr Blow Tank

·         LOTO Valves – Scoped, designed and managed construction and startup of project to add Digester Pressure Ball Valves in equipment associated with the Kamyr Continuous Digester for the purpose of double block-and bleed protection

·         Pulp Mill Screen Feed System – Scoped, and managed design and construction of a Brown Stock Washer Screen Feed Tank and Pressure Control System
