Principal Mechanical Engineer
All Employees are very familiar with safety requirements and will take a proactive role in any project they are involved in.
Experience and Capabilities
Has been working in the engineering field for 18 years. Began his career as a co-op with NASA in 1990.
Worked on Pulp and Paper Projects in the piping department for Rust for four years and with Fluor Daniel for three years.
In 2000 joined G-P Cedar Springs Operations and worked primarily as a project manager until September 2006.
As a consultant, has extensive experience as a field engineer on various projects. In all cases he lead or was heavily involved in he design of the project before going to the field to support construction and startup.
Has taken multiple ASME Code training courses and has applied the Code and SPI standard in many applications.
Managed the Tank and Pressure Vessel inspection program at G-P Cedar Springs operations since 2001.
During his involvement in large capital projects he has become very familiar with the checkout had startup process.
Developed punchlist databases to aid in the checkout/startup process.
Understands the long-term needs of large projects proactively assist in addressing issues such as records, equipment files, bills of material, maintenance access, spare parts, etc.
Served as maintenance coordinator for the paper machine business unit and as a temporary foreman in the pulp mill.
